Demand Generation Manager

We reach people by writing great blog posts & distributing them well, creating useful content, optimizing our website, running digital marketing campaigns, amplifying on social media, giving talks at conferences, and spreading the word at events. We aim to help people understand the jobs Citus can be hired for through clear, no-fluff marketing and education.

Citus Data is looking for an experienced demand generation manager to join our Marketing team, where you'll play an important role in accelerating our growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, run, and measure digital marketing campaigns to raise awareness of Citus to new potential users and to drive qualified leads into our funnel, through paid, earned, and owned channels. Digital campaigns will include a mix of online sponsorships, online advertising, webinars, content syndication, website content, & more.
  • Monitor day-to-day results of campaigns and experiments, to ensure campaigns are running optimally, to ensure we're optimizing campaigns, and to ensure that we're learning from our experiments.
  • Run email nurture campaigns that accelerate the engagement of community members with Citus, and drive deeper and earlier consideration of Citus.
  • Plan and deploy SEM and SEO programs to achieve targeted traffic growth.
  • Project manage all of the demand gen campaigns, tracking deliverables and schedules and deadlines, securing commitments from team members, communicating project status to our internal team and any 3rd party agencies involved, overcoming obstacles, planning for contingencies, and making sure our demand gen campaigns run effectively.
  • Improve effectiveness of marketing campaigns and email marketing through A/B testing.
  • Ensure consistency across demand gen & paid content to support the Citus Data brand tone, voice, and messaging.
  • Partner with marketing operations teams on attribution initiatives, including multi-touch attribution and full-funnel analysis of campaigns, to ensure that marketing campaigns are driving good business outcomes for Citus Data and for our customers and users.
  • Collaborate effectively with content marketers and designers in the creation of content for digital campaigns.
  • Manage 3rd party agency resources/relationships as needed.
  • Manage our social media channels, including Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure accuracy and optimization of creative, keyword selection, landing page accuracy and bids. Details matter!

We're looking for someone with

  • A self starter attitude—if you see something that can add value, you take initiative and dig in.
  • Proven project management skills and an ability to define and get agreement on the objectives of campaigns and then drive execution, metrics, optimization, and results.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to use data to optimize demand gen campaign performance.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving growth for the company.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills. This role requires you to work with colleagues in marketing, product, sales, and engineering.
  • Metrics-driven approach. You are good with numbers and patterns, and you use data to inform decisions.
  • Super-strong written and verbal communications skills, from emails to dashboards to slack, from presentations to phone calls to campaign landing pages.
  • High capacity to execute in a fast-moving, dynamic, changing environment.
  • 5+ yrs experience in B2B marketing and digital demand generation, preferably in a SaaS environment or in a developer-facing marketing team.
  • Bachelor's degree, highly desired.
  • Proven experience managing organic acquisition efforts including SEO—as well as paid acquisition efforts.
  • Experience with different marketing tools and techniques (CRM, SEO, marketing automation, web analytics, AB testing tools, URL tracking, & more.)
  • Intellectually curious and ambitious.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
